Genio Creativo is the collection of writing instruments in a limited edition that Montegrappa dedicates to the genius of those who, by means of their own creativity and passion, have created an object whose perfection became a source of inspiration in turn. Montegrappa dedicates Tributo ad Amedeo Modigliani to the genius who discomposed the principles of portraits: a Limited Edition collection that traces the features of his style. The neat line of the pen pays homage to the essentiality of his search for plasticity, the shaft and the cap are oval-shaped like the faces of his portraits, the clip is long and uneven like his noses, the cap ring has the characteristic irregular shape of the lips he painted. Modigliani’s distinctive feature, the firm and vibrating brushstrokes that marked every painting of his, has been reproduced with the help of the precious resin these creations are made of. The colour is the same as in several of his works of art: deep blue, as Parisian nights are. The excellence of his contribution to the history of art lies in the 18 carat gold nib on which one of Modě’s studies of heads is engraved. As in the previous edition of writing instruments of the Genio Creativo limited edition, the cap top identifies the collection with the Montegrappa logo and the solitary stone – a symbol of the uniqueness of the genius, which, in the 18 carat pink gold version, is a diamond.
